Inspired By Halloween Decor -- TakeTwo

Happy Halloween!
Today, I have another card to share that I made after being inspired by
this fun photo of Halloween mantle decor...

digsdigs.com

Once again, I couldn't resist using my new Best Witches stamp set
from Reverse Confetti to make my card.

I started with a base of patterned paper from the Fright Night 6x6 Pad
and black cardstock.

On a strip of Cloud White Cardstock, I stamped the mummy from Best Witches
and coloured him in using a Zig Marker.

Underneath, I stamped the sentiment from Treat Yo' Self.

Inspired By All the Little Things #30

Today, I have a card to share for

As soon as I saw this photo, I knew I wanted to use my different
Reverse Confetti coffee sets to create my card.

I started by diecutting my Cloud White Cardstock panel
Then, I created a stencil with the pumpkin from the
Pumpkin Patch Confetti Cuts and blended ink onto my panel.
I stamped the stems and vines from Pumpkin Patch in Avocado Ink.
I diecut the coffee cup and take out cup using Just Brew It Confetti Cuts
and stamped them with the coordinating stamps from Just Brew It & Be A Barista

I cut a strip of black cardstock and on it, stamped the sentiment
from Be A Barista in versamark and heat embossed it in white.

Five for Friday

Hey, it's been a while since I did a "Five for Friday" post,
so I thought I would share what I've been busy with lately...

1. Things have been going really well at my new job.
My photo is up on the TWO30NINE website (*click!*)
My days fly by and when I'm working, it feels the same way that
it does when I'm spending time creating in my craft space at home.
My co-workers are all wonderful, too.
I've worked with a few clients so far and have really enjoyed coming up with ideas
and designing their spaces.
And yesterday, a client put down a deposit on the designs
I made for her new kitchen renovation!
It's pretty exciting & it feels like a really great fit for me. :)

2. I attended a Grad Parent meeting on Wednesday evening,
because Austin will be graduating in June.
I know it's cliché, but I can't believe how quickly the time has flown!
He'll be 17 1/2 in a few weeks..... it seems like just yesterday that he
was little...

3. So, some of you might remember that, a couple of months ago,
I shared a video here on my blog for the Altenew Share the Love Video Contest.
Well, they posted the winners on their blog this week and guess what?
I tied for 2nd place!
I was very excited to see this -- and will be looking forward to using the $75 GC I won, too!

4. This weekend is pretty busy -- and will include two trips to Winnipeg for me.
Tomorrow, I'm attended an all day taekwondo seminar on patterns.
And on Sunday, the kids and I will be attending C4 -- Central Canada Comic Con.

5. And lastly, I have a card to share for this month's Essentials By Ellen Pin-Sights Challenge:

I was inspired by the flowers in the middle.

I started by diecutting my large peony from Essentials by Ellen's Mondo Peony
and stamped it in Versafine onyx black ink using its coordinating stamp
and heat embossed it in clear.
I coloured it in using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers and a water brush.
I stamped the solid leaves directly onto my watercolour background.

I added a strip of patterned paper from my stash and stamped
the sentiment -- from Papertrey Ink's Songbirds.

I hope you have a great weekend!

CAS(E) This Sketch #196

Today, I have a card to share that I made for
CAS(E) This Sketch #196 designed by Sam Simpson:

And here's my card:

I started by stamping my cats & hearts from Neat and Tangled's Purrrfect
onto my white cardstock panel and then scoring lines with my score-pal.
I  stamped my cats & hearts from watercolour paper and coloured
them in using my Zig markers and a water brush.
I fussy cut them all out by hand and adhered them to my card.

I stamped my sentiment (also from Purrrfect)
 in Versafine onyx black.

Ink It Up with Heidi Shafer -- Papertrey Ink's Bitty Ballerina

Today, I've joined again with
Heidi Shafer of Mapleberry Musings for Ink It Up.

Ink it Up is a challenge where, on the second and fourth Wednesday
of each month, Heidi and I share cards that we've made with new stamp sets
that we haven't used yet.

Today, I'm sharing a card that I made using my

I started by diecutting my ballerina using its coordinating die and stamping
it in versafine onyx black ink and heat embossing it in clear.
Then, I coloured it in using my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers
and a water brush.
I stamped the sentiments from the Ballerina Beauty stamp set.

I stencilled the background using a PTI stencil and two shades of pink ink.

A friend of mine requested this card for her grand-daughter and wanted
her name stamped on it, so I added that using my Mama Elephant Script stamp set.

Don't forget to hop over to Heidi's blog to see what
she created for this Ink It Up.

Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop

Today, I'm participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

Our challenge was to use this beautiful photo as inspiration:

Isn't it beautiful?
Here's the card that it inspired...

I started by stamping my sentiment from Phrases and Praises in
PTI Ocean Tides ink on stamper's select white cardstock, to match the colours of the pumpkins.
I made a border for my card with soft stone cardstock, stamped with the woodgrain stamp
from Concord & 9th.
I wet some watercolour paper and coloured over it with two Zig Markers
and then went over the colouring with water.
Once it was dry, I splattered ink mixed with water over top.
Once that was dry, I diecut some Fancy Foliage Detail dies from it.

A trio of pure poppy buttons and some button twine finishes it off.

Inspired By Halloween Decor

Recently, I found this fun photo of Halloween mantle decor...

digsdigs.com

I was inspired by the top of the mantle, with all of the black and white
with just the pop of green!
I couldn't resist using my new Best Witches stamp set
from Reverse Confetti to make my card.

I stamped the images & sentiment from Best Witches and decided to just
colour in the potion in the cauldron with my Zig Markers.
I also added a little shading at their feet.
This reminds me of children's books from my childhood when only one thing was coloured in!

I used my Lotsa Dots Stencil to apply Lime Green Ink onto a piece
of Lime Green Cardstock.
I trimmed my Cloud White Cardstock at an angle and layered it overtop.

Butterfly Reflections Ink October Mood Board & Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge #2

Today, I have a card to share for
Butterfly Reflections Ink October Mood Board

Isn't it gorgeous?
I love those rich hues!

I decided to use my Concord & 9th Flourish stamp set to make my card.

I started by smooshing some PTI Hawaiian Shores ink mixed with water
onto my watercolour panel.
Once it was dry, I stamped the leaves from Concord & 9th's Flourish stamp set
in PTI's Tropical Teal, after spritzing my inked stamp with water first.
I repeated this for the Summer Sunrise flowers I stamped.
Lastly, I stamped the flowers in Altenew's Cosmic Berry.
I didn't spritz it with water first, because the Altenew inks don't react to that
well, not like the PTI inks do.

I stamped my sentiment using SSS's Big Scripty Sentiments.

The Challenge #83 -- Guest Designer

Note: This is my second post for today.
Scroll down to see my Inspired By All The Little Things post
or click here.

I'm very excited to be guest designing for The Challenge today!

I was inspired by the colours (white, red and that fun blue!), the red & white stripes
and the pretty ornaments on the tree.
I decided to use some of my Reverse Confetti products to make my card.

I created a stencil using the Vintage Ornaments Confetti Cuts and blended ink
onto my card front, using Delicata Silver Ink and Reverse Confetti Brick ink.
I stamped the hangers in Delicata Silver ink.

I stamped the "Merry Christmas" stamp from Vintage Ornaments
I added twine as well as a piece of patterned paper from the
Very Merry 6x6 paper pad to finish it off.

Be sure to check out The Challenge and see what the DT
came up with using the inspiration photo,
and to play along, if you'd like.
